Quick update on the marijuana research bill: more action needed

The Medical Marijuana and Cannabidiol Research Expansion Act has passed in the US House of Representatives with strong bipartisan support--thank you to all who contacted your Congressperson!

It now needs to be voted on in the Senate, as the House bill has some minor differences from the Senate bill. Normally this would be a snoozer, as the previous Senate bill had strong bipartisan support. But yesterday Senate Republicans blocked a veteran's health bill that they had previously supported, apparently as retribution for the Democrats' budget deal.

So please contact your senators and urge them to support this bill, especially if your senator is a Republican. Again, the timeline is likely to be short, so act now!

[Sorry, no time to post a picture this time, but Michelle is still cheering you on!]
